Hogueras fiestas in Alicante
With the Hogueras in Alicante now starting, a few notes of warning
* fiestas like this attract pickpockets - never take your original ID papers with you, take a normal amount of money and not more ..
* check last years messages on the Barracas - the food and restaurant shops that spring up everywhere on the streets and plazas. They charge a LOT of money for very little service and low quality. Avoid them and also the restaurants in the port area ...
* there is not only an increase in traffic, also quite a few streets are cut. If possible, take the bus. If enough people are interested, I can talk to have a late night bus put in also, Debbie, this might be something for you.
From next week on, people eating at your place will be able to receive a CD with old images of Alicante. The 5 Euro cost will be going towards a charity, so I don t get a cent from it personally (if that gives you any satisfaction
