Never liked Durty Nelly's as it's part of one of those soulless chains of Irish pubs like the one on the Saturday market at Playa Flamenca that serve inconsequential lager like Amstel and Heineken. And an apology for my previous post where I referred to the "bust station" rather than the bus station. If you do want to go a "bust station" then head to the Whiskeria on Calle San Pascual (and, no, that's not a recommendation from personal experience) ...

Three Lions/Kennedys is now closed because of ill health and not re-opening in the near future, Cookie told me this last week.

Not suprised that the Three Lions/Kennedys bar is closed as it struggled to attract customers away from the other bars around it. Curious to know if the smoking ban is being implemented in the Brit/Irish bars mentioned especially Corky's where a haze of smoke in the bar area was the norm?

I was there last week and the smoking ban is going great, The Spanish have adapted very well and very quickly. A last no more smokey pubs. Los Locos area was very quiet except for the usuals, Jack at Murphs had a good day trade. Pizza222 are now open also including lunch time. Durty Nellies, food as goood as always....................

Torrevieja this summer (Los Locos)

OK here we go again. I didn't get back in 2010 I had a "Staycation" and I was bored and wet for 3 weeks. So I'm booked for 2011 so has anything changed?
Anything new? Anything closed? Whats still happening? Please let me know.

Not long to go now so now that we are into the "Summer Season" whats new whats changed and what can you recommend any help and advice would be great given the latest exchange rate!

Tipsys has been closed for about a year, Sabora closed around the same time. Cookie does karaoke in Pegasus Mon, Wed, Friday. Murph is still going, busier during day time, Popeye only opens evenings now. There are a lot more bars opened at the needle roundabout and the new Marina site in Agua Nuevas as well as a fantastic Chinese restaurant.

Is Kennedy's open again? and where is the Chinese exactly as the ones we have tried were not good? Thanks for the info Ijust hope the sun will be spliting the sky in a few weeks too!

The Chinese is above the new Mercadona Supermarket, best Chinese for miles, may have to wait for a table sometimes. Kennedy's has reopened.

Sorry to be a pain but its been 2 years since I was last there. Where is this new supermarket and how far is it from Los Locos beach? I know of the Mercadona in the town centre and there used to be one on the way out of Los Locos with a petrol station but other than that I'm lost.

The one by the petrol station has closed and moved to it present location which is where the old bull ring used to be and is about a 3 minute walk from the petrol station!
Have to agree about the chinese went there for my birthday meal got there for 7.30pm and hadn´t booked luckily there were a few tables left outside. half an hour later they were queueing for tables both inside and outside were full! think it is better sitting inside as then you get the food on hot plates also get the prawn crackers for some reason you do not get them outside!

No it is by the new mercadona where the bull ring used to be it is called Mandarin Chino i think!
