Introduction ... and question!!

Hi!
I'm Helen, from the UK but living in Norway.

We have a little house in Villa Martin, which we will be visiting for the first time since we had children. It's not the most practical of houses, with 3 storeys and loads of hard floortiles. However, it's what we have and we need to make the most of it. My question is therefore WHERE ON EARTH can we get SAFETY GATES (for stairs) in the area?? Don't really fancy taking them over from Norway, as we have more than enough stuff to carry, like travel cots, buggies etc. etc.

Any replies greatly appreciated!

Is not very usual what you are looking for,but I think the best is contact to a woodwork or metalwork, in Torrevieja there are several of them.

Hi helen,
The place that came to mind is the big department store in Catagena,Cortes El Ingles(i think thats how its spelt)They have a Baby/Childrens department with everything you could need.They may stock them.
There are also individual baby/children shops dotted about in Torrevieja they have clothes and equipment.

Try Eroski at Dos Mares, they sell them.

Alternatively, somebody may have the number for Kidease who specialize in hiring such equipment.

you can get baby gates from carrefour in torrevieja - we got one to stop the puppy going up the stairs....

I have often walked passed a shop in Torrevieja that has a notice in the window saying that they have a range of safety products for small children in houses. I think the shop is in calle San Policarpo. I will have a look next time I'm there.
