What's going on?

Does anyone know what they are building on the waste land immediately south of El Paraiso? Is it something to do with the new desalination plant or housing? It looks as though they might be extending Calle Maestro Quino.
Secondly, does anyone know if the intended promenade along the front in this area is still going ahead?

Hi Wendtg

They are using the waste ground to lay pipes from the desalination plant and the pipes are then going along Maestro Quino and Urbani Arrequi then along Avenida de Pinosa before they go into the sea alomg side western end of the harbour. The work along the roads are meant to start on 15th September. The is a small write up in last weeks Coastrider on page 3. Going to be going on for quite a few weeks and will be a nightmare around there. They are meant to be doingup the sea front after the pipes are laid but will wait and see what happens!

What's going on?

Thanks Fudgey. Have they said what will happen to that piece of wasteland after they have laid the pipes? When I bought my apartment (2006) in Paraiso I was told it was going to be turned into a park!
Has anyone seen the plans for the seafront? Someone told me that they are displayed at the Town Hall so next time I am out I will have to go and see them.
Hopefully the end result will improve the area and perhaps raise the fallen property prices!
