Barclays bank - 3 % discount on eligible direct decbits?? !!

A mate is sorting out his accounts prior to returning to UK for the winter (most others go south - he goes north!)

The 'advisor' at his branch here in Spain told him that BB 'gives you a 3% 'discount' on DDs'

Is there any experiences of this out there - if it is true - there must be 'terms and conditions apply' surely!!?? Cannot see any back 'giving away money'!

Oh yes they do Mike.

I opened an account with them recently and switched all my regular DD's to it and lo & behold on my monthly statement I get a 3% cashback.

I don't like Banks any more than the next person but Barclays have treated us very well (so far!!!)

I opened the account at their Punta Prima office with a very nice helpful young lady called Marianne.

I would recommend this account to anyone.
