British electrician

I am an english electrician and will be moving to Orihuela in September this year. I was just wondering how easy it would be to find work over there? Is the demand for electricians the same over there as it is here in Britain? and does anyone know the average pay p/h?
I would be very greatful if anyone could help.

Hi Dan & Carly,

First, this is a common question, if you speak fluent Spanish then getting a job with a local firm should not be much of a problem. Second, If you do not speak Spanish then you will be among the many others who will only have access to English speaking customers, and believe me there are many sparks, plumbers, mechanics, joiners etc out there seeking work. The average hourly rate I do not know, but I expect it is less than in the UK.
