  • Best ever things to do in torrevieja!

Ok, I've been to Torrevieja regularly for 10 years, and i'm planning on coming over at the end of next month for a week.

I've obviously seen lots now, but, can anyone suggest some things that are worth doing? I bet there is a lot I have totally missed - and I potentially want to cram a lot into a week!!

    Thank you

Go for a mud bath up at the salt lakes.

Go down to the beach at Playa Flamenca then go up the ramp on the right hand side walking around the houses directly on the sea shore which brings you out at the La Zenia hotel, cross over the large beach then follow the path (or beaches) right down to Cabo Roig harbour, visit the hotel above the harbour for tapas and to watch the eccentric waiters. About 35-40 minutes each way. I like to do it when quiet or sea choppy.

The horse riding school below the N332 between Cabo Roig and Campoamor. Not easy to get down.

Go-Karts between Punta Prima and Playa Flamenca on N332

      Regards

      John

        thanks

Hey, thanks for that reply - i've always meant to go to the mud baths - but i'll definitely go this time!! any more suggestions guys?? Anything slightly unknown, that isn't to be missed?

I've always loved the steak baguettes at Carlos Bar, though admittedly it's not exactly very Spanish - but really nice for lunch on market day!!!

Why do some people have to be so negative??? Each time I visit I never have enough days to do all I want. Had a lovely surprise last month with the opening of the fab new Haberneras centre.

Why not visit the nature park around the salt lakes.
Take a ride down to the Mar menor and walk between the windmills out to sea.

If you have a car, the Caves of Canalobre just north of Alicante are well worth a visit, and the mountains and scenery and views on the way are brill.

Our beaches are always lovely and clean. The sea too. Why on why do people have to be so negative. Look for the good things around you. Try a positive outlook to life.
