New Year's in Torrevieja

Hi everybody,

I was wondering if anyone can suggest the best places to go on New Year's Eve in Torrevieja. I'm arriving on December 28 until January 6. We're a party of three. I understand that a lot of people go to Benidorm on New Year's Eve, but that isn't an option for us. I was wondering about the availability of taxis, etc as well on New year's Eve but mostly I'd love to know the best place to go for maybe dance and fun, or music....? Thanks.

Because that's where we're STAYING? Sorry, I don't really understand the question. We're staing in the Torrevieja region for New Year's, so that's why I'm asking? Sorry for pointing out the obvious....

Whereabouts in Torrevieja are you staying? I don't think it's that easy to get cabs etc on New Years Eve but local bars all have some sort of party.

We're staying in Jardin del Mar near the Carrefour. I know Shannon's is close by, and St James Gate....I'm jusat taking a list of places to go. There's three of us...

Shannons, St James Gate, Shadys or Sackos will all have a party depends on your ages. Shannons is younger and louder, Shadys tends to be older and the other two a mixture. We are out there again in a couple of weeks I will look what's on around there. The lounge bar is a good night out but you would need a taxi.

That's great, thanks! Age-wise, I'm 43 (but a young 43, I still like my music and dancing; you can't kill off an old Mod!!!) My partner Denise is my own age and she, too, likes a good night out. Our daughter is 17. We're having our normal Christmas at home in Dublin in Ireland, but are heading over to Torrevieja on the 28 December to January 6.

your daughter will probably like Shannons or maybe Sackos - they have a 21 year old daughter who brings in the younger crowd. I will have a look when I am there and let you know.

Thanks. Yes I was in Shannon's before (I actually sang -BADLY! -at karaoke there one night). Shannon's does seem to be the closest venue to us, so it's definitely high on our list. It's also within walking distance of where we're staying, which is a plus. But if you hear about anything else, let me know. Cheers again.
