  • PLACES of INTEREST?

    Hi there,

who can reccommend places to go , places to visit, walks, villages, sights, anything near Villamartin and within about 1h30 mins driving. These are for people without children.

    All suggestions gratefully accepted.

Oh dear, nothing to do nowhere to go in Valencia or Murcia regions?

Why has everyone come to live here then?

Surely someone can suggest something. Nothing rude please!

        days out

hello there are lots for any age in and around Torrevieja, depending what you like.
There is Guadalest just north of Benidorm, takes about an hour, lovely views and some commercialism with gift shops, also an interesting animal sanctuary nearby.
In Benidorm there is TerraMitica We went with a mixed age group last year, we are 50's but enjoyed the spectacle and several of the fairground rides, took us 10 hours to get round it all, great value for all ages.
There is Mundomar waterworld havent been there though, the new Terranatura promises to be as good as terra mitica. It takes about an hour to Benidorm on the A7

          Hi,

If you have a car try the Santuario de Fuensanta on the south eastern side of Murcia. Great views from the santuario of the city of Murcia and mountains.

A little further on south of the city of Murcia turn off the motorway at Alhama de Murcia and take the scenic drive up into the Sierra de Espuna nature reserve. Road is a loop with easy driving through the reserve. Superb views from several vantage points. Nice bar restaurant at the bottom.

          Terry

I have bought a house in the Murcia region and I was very interested in the walks etc that you do with your son. Could you give me a little more detail offline if necessary.

I met someone last year who said that there is lots of industrial waste at La Union. They said they went for a cycle ride there and felt nauseous all the next day. Has anyone heard of any similar experiences?
              Thanks
