This is the link to a good basic wireless house alarm [no cables] that is used on the Costas a lot. They are bright yellow and blue in colour. The alarms are on special offer £73.10p in uk with free postage or sent to Spain for about £20 with a courier service.

This alarm has two internal sensors and comes with one remote control fobs [ extras cost £14 ] and has a very loud alarm box which is powered by a solar battery so there is no need for mains electricity. It is very simple to install, just screw the individual boxs to walls and hey presto it's finished.
One certainly doesn't need to pay anyone to service these alarms as it is within the means of most people to clean the solar panel now and again and change the little batteries in the two sensors when necessary but they should last a year or two. There is a 6 volt rechargeable battery inside the alarm box but these should last at least 5 years before changing.
On the site you can buy more sophisticated alarms and spare key fobs and other parts reasonable cheaply.
This basic alarm doesn't have a night facility, i.e where the upstairs sensor is deactivated at night so people walking around at night don't set the alarm off.
