Breakdown recovery service??!

Does anybody know of any companies that offer a breakdown recovery service only - without having to take out an insurance policy with them? I suppose I mean something like Green Flag or the AA! Are there companies like this in Spain ( Who have English speaking operators preferably!!)

RACE, the Spanish equivalent operate one as does a company called ARAG emergency number is 933001050, sorry I can't remember their office number but that would get you through.
