Bar Street

I know this has been covered on the old forum but.....can someone please tell me exactly where bar street is. We have a map of Torrevieja so a street name would be good. If no one knows the name of the street could you give us directions say from the fountain if we started off with the sea behind us. Each time we have tried to find it we have failed and its such thirsty work wandering the streets. One more question, when is the best time in the evening to be there. We dont want to turn up at 8pm if it doesnt start getting lively till midnight.

From the fountain at the front looking out to Sea, turn left and walk paralel to the night market, when you get to the entrance to the car park where there is a tabac shop on the corner keep walking paralel to the sea and lok out for the back of the Burger King. The area to the west of here is known as Bar Street, the bars start opening up at about 11 and stay open all night. get there at midnight and just follow the sound.

Jacpops - stick to Calle Apolo as this is where most of the better bars seem to be - most allow you stand outside with your bevvie creating a bizarre atmosphere with several nationalties talking loudly over 10 different bars blaring sound systems ! Generally things get going after 11pm but around midnight the whole place is buzzing - it's a great night out !
