i am thinking of buying a second hand car, but would like know how to determine the age of a Spanish car.Some cars seem to start with letters and some start with numbers.I believe i am right in thinking that cars with numbers are newer, if so do they change once every 6 months like Britian or once every 12 months.

Best way to tell the year of any car is to check the tags on the seat belts,this will give you the year of manufacture.The registration could be plus one year.The spanish cars are much more expensive than in uk.so be prepared for that.

Would it be cheaper to buy a secondhand LHD in the UK, export it then transfer to Spanish plates or is the difference in price less than the cost and hassle of the export.
