My wife and I have a property to sell in the UK after which we will be re locating to the La Florida area, I am 61 my wife is 59 and we would not be working, how long after the E121 expired would we each need health insurance.

The E121 is not what you mean it is the E106 and only if you both have the contributions to claim for up to 2 years however i note your wife will be eligible for E121 before that time expires so you can be her dependant until you are 65. Therefore no need for private health cover unless you want it
