i am over the first week of july and would like to get the tv organised.is there anyone who has or is using superbeam tv.their holiday rates for subs look reasonable as we will be infrequent visitors until 2007.any help appreciated.

Did a little bit of research into superbeam went to there offices, they look a very professional outfit, I would have gone with them but I had already paid for installation and a years subscription in advance to solaris tv in the carrefour, the holiday subscription that superbeam offer looks very attractive to anyone who only occasionaly comes over to torrevieja.

Myself and 3 British neighbours all recently had Superbeam TV installed. We all live in Albatera, which is about 10 miles inland from Torrevieja. After the first one had it installed, it all worked great, we then went ahead...the service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble, British installer (Alan) - very helpful, did all the stuff with the leads to video/CD/decoder,etc; very prompt service, good signal & picture. From our recommendation, another 2 in our block had it fitted. At the moment i think its about 20 euros per month if you're there permanently, but this is likely to alter as they plan to do different packages in the future...dependant upon the package, the price may be less or more. We currently have about 14 (mostly British incl Sky & Sky sports) TV stations, plus Radio 2 and another radio station that i cant remember. The cost of the initial installation was around 450 euros. They are always looking to improve the service. I cant give u any help on their "holiday package" as we didn't go for that deal.

Personally I would not touch them. They let me down badly with a series of promises over several months to come and install their system and at the last moment claimed I was too far away this was despite me calling their office on the agreed day of installation and was told he would be with me later that day. ( I am between Alicante and Elche). This they repeatly claimed I could get signal when we lived and also their website saying my area was covered. I feel if the let potential customers down they what will they do to existing customers who experience a problem. My advice stay well away from this outfit.

To be on the safe side call arround the various tv people now as they all claim to have a waiting list of up to 4 weeks including superbeam. I'm sure as the season peaks in July and August this won't get any shorter.
