Sorry--I'm sure this has been asked before.
Where do you take your form 214 and money to pay wealth tax ?
If anyone can point me to a website or discussion board on the topic I will be grateful. Because I know very little about it except that our Lawyer charged us more for paying it than the actual tax came to. Never again.

Hi Stardust - this has been covered many times - you take it to the Agencia Ministerio in Orihuela - it is Calle Obispo Rocamora 57 - a main street in Orihuela. I assume you have completed the Modelos 214 forms - did you download from their website? I do believe you can complete the forms and get your bank to pay them (or so Cam told me) but make sure you have filled in the 3 parts and have an envelope to send to the Agencia. As you say you can get fiscal representation but they charge around 120 Euros for what is half an hours work - even if you have to go and pay it there and get help filling in form (which they will do) you are looking at half a day - got mine filled in but could'nt go becasue something cropped up so I am going to fax them and ask them where they want me (or my ank) to send the money - should be easy. regards PS let me know if you want any help filling it in.

Can you tell me please if the payment method is the same as SUMA--that is to say they give you a bill with a list of banks that will take payment or do they expect the cash there and then?

Hi Stardust - I am told you can pay it there, after all they won't refuse money - and they help you fill the form in if necessary. Would you do me a favour when you go find out if the forms can be faxed or posted to them and what the alternative methods of payment are - there must be more than one method available e.g. can you pay online etc - it would be appreciated - I meant to go on my last visit over there but when I rang them they told me I couldn't pay that day - also could you ask if they have an English speaking helpdesk. regards

Select modelos y formularios from teh left column - from drop down select declaraciones - then select from list on the right I renta de no residentes then scroll down til you get to the form 214 - you can print off the form and the instructiones (in Spanish) - you will need two lots if you have a spouse/partner - the form is 3 pages (all the same just fill the 3 in or use carbon paper). Hopefully I will get some feedback from Stardust re taking them to the office to pay. regards

I have downloaded the Form 214 but of course they are in Spanish. I have tried translating the words into English but of course it is still not very self explanatory.

Can you or someone tell me what and where you need to put the information.

A bit of a pain I know but all in the cause of saving a few people a few euros! Any help would be appreciated.
