N.I.E. Numbers

Hi - I'm new to this forum.

Can N.I.E. numbers be obtained in Torrevieja?
If so does anyone have the address/postcode/phone number.
Your help would be much appreciated.

Yes, but not on the same day (unless its changed) that can only be done in Alicante. The office is in Calle Maldonado at the top end opposite the little park with the windmill.

You can get more help from the office opp the town hall/church crossroads if you need it. But not the actual NIE.

To be perfectly honest - no. Because I have not used the service with any friends etc lately - would guess 1-2 weeks max.

If you need it urgently then its an Alicante crack of dawn job (mind you so is Torre!!) - where I think they still issue them the same day (and where the Torre office sends them to)

Thanks for the nfo. I'm still having nightmares getting mine from Alicante a few years ago so I'm not going up there again. We're back in Spain late April so we'll give the Torre office a go, thanks again.

I got ours from an office in the square in Torrevieja, thats the one where the windmill is. Face the windmill from the main road and the office is on the right hand side of the square. Just up from it is a bar that does photographs that you will need to go with the documentation.

as you live in Villamartin you will be better going to the Ayuntamiento at Playa Flamenca it will take as long as Torrevieja and you dont have to travel as far

To be honest if you live in Playa Flamenca (or anywhere outside the control of Torrevieja town hall) I don't think you can go to the Torrevieja office, as each office only deals with residents padronned in that area.

If you go to a main office ie Alicante they will deal with anyone, living in the Alicante province.

If you go to the Torre office by the windmill it will take 3 working days to obtain, you have to fill in the paperwork and make copies of them, take 2 photos which you can get in the little cafe, couple of doors down and then pay the costs at any local bank and take the proof of payment back to them asp. dont know if this applies to the playa flamenca office!!!
