Fc Torrevieja move to full professional status

[Brian]

Following their recent promotion to the Spanish 3rd Division, Fc Torrevieja have made their future intentions perfectly clear by becoming a fully professional club (they were previously semi pro.).
4 new players have signed in the past 3 days and it is believed at least another 6 have agreed to sign.
However to accomodate these changes, 9 players from the squad which won promotion this past season have been released.
The move to professionalism will please the supporters who have turned out in their thousands in the past 3 seasons, with attendances up from around 200 per game to an average this season, just completed, of around 4000, and a season high of 6.600

There is a couple of blokes in Madrid who might be interested in transferring to Torre. One's called David the other Michael!!

The promotion was great news, when does the season start again?
I will go to a few games when i'm over, what's the entrance fee, I take it you dont need an advanced ticket.
At what standard would you pitch the Spanish 3rd division, conference level?

Fc Torrevieja

Pay on day prices are 10euros for men, whilst ladies and pensioners of either sex pay just 5 euros.
Costs of season ticket is 80euros, but only 40euros at discounted price for ladies and pensioners. Kids under 16 enter free.
As for the standard compared to Uk? Will let you know that once the season has started but for sure Torry are investing heavily for the future and will be aiming to achieve a second promotion in two years.
Fixtures due for release by end of this week so please monitor
www.fctorrevieja.com front page and forum section. Torry games will be played on Sundays and likely a 6pm kick off throughout the season and first league game probably last weekend in August.
