We are buying a property and it will be in our two names and our children's two names eg split into four. This is to try and ease any future IHT problems. Do we need four Spanish wills?

As far as I'm aware you will all need a Spanish will. If you take out a life insurance policy be aware that whoever is named in it as next of kin will overide anyone you have named in your will (if different) as far as insurance payouts are concerned. We are just going through this process at the moment unfortunately.
