  • Telefonica (again)

I have not received a bill from Telefonica since October 2004, although they are kind enough to take the money from my account. I am not alone in this problem as 95% of my friends and neighbours have not received their bills since that same month.
On the last occasion I phoned Telefonica they did promise to mail ALL bills and this would arrive wihin 10 days. Yes you have guessed it over 2 weeks have passed and nada.
Where do I go from here ? Any advice please.

I have a lot of customers using Citrus Comms for there phone calls, and last October seems to be the time when very many of them stopped getting Telefonica bills also, it's not to bad for my customers because they only pay line rental, but for the people who pay Telefonca for their calls it's a worry knowing how Telefonica can overcharge and not give money back, quite a few of my customers have contacted Telefonica by various means and still no bills have arrived as yet.

WHY ANYBODY PAYS TELEFONICA FOR CALLS IS BEYOND ME!!!

What is Citrus then? Is it a different service to Telefonica and how does it work?

Customers who use our service have all their calls billed by Citrus and not Telefonica, this saves on average about 70/80% of what they would pay Telefonica, they only pay Telefonica for the line rental.

        As an example:

Off-peak (8pm to 8am & all weekend) a 2 minute call to the UK is as follows.

        Telefonica 35.87 cents
        Citrus 5.5 cents

That is why I cannot understand anybody using Telefonica for calls.

        Citrus

          Telefonica

Having posted the initial enquiry, I will now point out I do NOT use Telefonica for my phone calls, I do use a company who provide me a 24/7 rate of 4.7 cents per minute to call the Uk (Fonicatel) whilst local calls are good rates also.
However Telefonica took over 90 euros from my account last time.
Thats is around 35 euros for line rental, around 40 euros for broadband and the other 15 euros??

I have spent 25 yrs in telecom and although I am with a competitor, I cannot disagree with a word Adrian says. MOST people could save at least the cost of a few Sunday lunches a month just by going to Citrus or another LCR supplier.
