I have just dug out a quote from last summer that we got from Prosugur. As we will not be having a land line the free connection did not apply. If it had, all we would have had to pay after that would have been 33.95 euros each month. As we will be having one of their mobile units this will cost us an initial 160 euros with the monthly fee on top of that we presume. We met Oscar, Juan's collegue at the apartment who was most helpful. We will be completing on a 2 bed ground floor apartment in early Feb and Juan has arranged to phone us on the day we come over to complete to go through the paperwork and install the alarm that week before we come back to the uk. Even after paying the initial 160 the whole cost per year only equates to around 2 euros a day. Thats nothing for peace of mind in my book.

Thanks for the information.
When I said how many monitors did you have I meant to say sensors?
It sounds good to me tho as I know that with Prosegur you have to have a landline and I do not intend to have one.
What we all want is peace of mind and want to do everything possible to stop our places been broken in to. Fingers crossed.

Magenta - with Prosegur you do NOT need a landline. It's one of the pluses of the service.

I have three PIRs to cover a single storey first floor apartment. One in each bedroom, and one in the main living area. There are no door contacts, but then all the external doors have PIRs pointing at them, grilles, and shutters.

I can isolate the main bedroom PIR and set the system by remote control so that I can alarm the rest of the house once in bed.

Have a good shop around and I'm sure you'll find what's best for you.

I will see what suits me best. I had already noticed some houses with CRAC in my area which is not so very far from you Chris. I will be checking Steve's info too.

Just checked and I am paying 62.74 Euros every 3 months.

We have 6 detectors and they are all wireless! Excellent when we needed an extra one. It was just fixed to the wall and that was it.

Our system was in when we bought the house and it has the radio telephone so no landline necessary.
