I was over checking the progress of our property at La Cinuilica recently, and noticed that, what looks like a super market being built on the new round about, just up from the Punta Prima round about. Am I right in assuming it is a super market, and does anyone know what else is planned for around there, again I was led to believe there were shops and bars going to be built.

I have a property on La Cinuelica, and as far as I am aware that building is going to be a supermarket - don't know which one but people seem to think it could be Mercadona. There is also going to be a commercial centre which I think is being built on the other side of the new road.

Somebody who is already living there said it is going to be a Mercadona. Also on the other piece of land opposite it is going to be shops and bars. Where are you buying Steve in what release.

Our property is on phase R8, number 36, this is around 75 mts. after taking the left turn at the new roundabout. It is due for completion in December, but I think it will go beyond that.

Hi Steve we are buying in R8 also we are in a duplex apartment No. 18 in block 1 so December for us to. We are going on on 28 Dec for 9 days and then again on 18 Feb for 5 days so hopefully will be getting good ideas of how it is coming along, although think it will be at least May or June before it finishes going by other releases. have you been out lately to see it.

We were out there 1st week of July and are going again mid September.
Block 1 & 2 have exterior walls blocked and are roofed. There is plenty of activity from the builders but I feel there is alot to do to complete for December. It should be worth the wait, now they are taking shape they really do look as if they will be a very nice complex when complete.

Will be interested to see any photos that you take, and we will do likewise for when we are over in December. Yes they really are taking shape, the area for the pool doesnt look as big as I thought it may be, and also trying to wonder where they will put the big pillars for the meters and post boxes. We are hoping we dont have them as we are on a corner plot and that wasnt in any plans that we seen for our property.

We dont think they will be ready on time that is why we are going on over the new year. Are you going to be living their permanently or just hollidaying and letting it out. We wont be living permanently for the first few years anyway at least.

What do you mean by walls "blocked" Steve.

Blocked walling - I am refering to the building blocks that are built within the concrete pillers, these walls have not been rendered yet though.
Having looked at the plan of the complex, your number 20 is back to back with our number 36, thats a coincidance.
I have loads of photos from before they started to build to now. Next time I go out I will take a digital camera, I can then email you some shots.

Think you have it mixed up Steve, I said we are in No 18 which is the upstairs apartment by the start of block one, by the road. You are looking onto the pool, you are the end flat then on block 2 i think. dont htink the pool is going to be a big area though. After looking at the programme on TV tonight about torrevieja will have to make sure and get grilles at the top of the stairs to our flat so that they dont get onto the balcony.
