Window and door grills

Hi all,
Am hopefully completing in September the apartments as good as fdinished but August looms.
It is a 2 bed with lounge patio doors to Terrace plus front door can any give me a rough estimate of cost of grills for this?

just had quote of 420 for front door with 3 independant locks and sliding patio door grill at 480.hope this helps.wayne

Was cost for just grills or for front door as well.

Hi Hoss, where is your apartment? This is a company called 1st choice security based in quesada. Is your apartment in Villa Martin, we have done a few out in that area and i estimate your 2 window grills, front door with 3 point lock. Patio doors with concertina. Total price including fitting would be approximately 1200.00euros. you can contact me at sutherland228@hotmail.com

Just a word of advice. Don't judge an estimate on price alone. The quality of the grilles, locks and the way they are fitted are what really counts.

Dermot's right - especially about the way that they are fitted. I knew one contractor that used to drill a hole, fill it with 'Yeso' and attach the grilles quickly. Sure, the grilles were held in place, but it wouldn't take much force to pull them off the wall. Happily, that contractor now out of business and no longer in Spain.

Ask to see at least two examples of work done, and make sure you are happy before proceeding.
