Hi. Just back from my summer holiday in Torrevieja as I have done for the last 5 years. As usual when crime is mentioned Torrevieja gets a bashing and very unfairly I must say. I live on the north of the city near Playa Los Locos and have seldom witnessed crime or damage to property, though we did have a murder two years ago. My urbanisation is well settled with a very large spanish community. I think that most crimes are committed in the newer areas of south Torrevieja which are not as well settled and have a large amount of properties empty at any one time. Roll on October when I can walk the beachs, enjoy a pint or go shopping in Torrevieja.
