The Urbanización called San José IV.

Hi, I am new to this forum and would like to know what the urbanizacion called San Jose 1V is like

I am thinking of buying an apartment there any help would be apreciated regarding the "crime rate" as the latest program over here paints a bad story

We have a property in Almeria on a Golf complex called Envia Golf it is very nice but we can only fly into Alicanti and I am a little tired of the 2.5hrs drive hence we are looking closer to Alicanti

We can fly to Mucia from September but that still leaves 2hr drive

I also need a Marina berth for my boat any help there would also help

There are airlines that fly to Almeria you do not have to go to Alicante, we have a few friends that have flown there - they have bought properties through Polaris world and they fly to Almeria all the time, flights from manchester, Gatwick and others. I think Easyjet fly to Almeria

Yes I can fly to Almeria from Stanstead but the connection times are longer than the drive down

We are going this way in August to give it a try

Out of interest our flights Newcastle/ Stanstead /Almeria are cheaper than direct flights from Newcastle/ Alicant

At this time I still favor a move nearer Alicanti

Maybe you could go Newcastle/Gatwick/Almeria - i still think Almeria is a nicer area to live that around Torrevieja - and Caba Roig is close to Torrevieja -think the Almerica area is a lot nicer - do a lot of research before you sell up and move - do a search and check flights on B Midlands, etc to see what you can get

What we are reading does put us off somewhat

I've a house on San Jose IV (4)
We love the place.
It's inland from the N332 between La Zenia and Cabo Roig.
You can walk to La Zenia or Cabo Roig beaches in approx 15-20 minutes.
Walk to bars etc. at either La Zenia or Cabo Roig in less than 10 minutes.
It's close to all the bars etc. but far enough back so you don't get the noise. Very peaceful.
As with all new urbanisations there was a lot of break ins etc. during building but it seems to have dropped now the building is over.
I've been there 2 years with no problems.

Forgot to mention there are 3 golf courses withing 5 min drive Villamartin, campoamor and Las Ramblas.
2 marinas within 5 min drive. Cabo Roig and Campoamor.

I have just purchased a Quad bungalow in Campoamor. The urbinisation is called Player Golf 3 and I now the Builder is called San Jose.

It will be ready in May 06.

Sounds like the same place, does any body know if it is?

No it's not the same place but not far away.
I'm pretty sure Player Golf 3 Is the new urb. just being built on the right hand side of the road driving from Cabo Roig to Campoamor golf course just over the motorway bridge.
San Jose IV is between La Zenia and Cabo Roig.
San Jose have built many urb's. San Jose 11 & IV are next to each other.
Not sure where the other ones are but they don't all have numbers after them.

It is the new Urb just over the bridge on the right.

Any top tips for the area and anything to be warned about?

One other question, how would I go about finding a reliable Cleaner/ handy person to help whilst im not there? Am I aloud to ask that on here?

If you believed how bad it is as mentioned on some of the forums you wouldn't have bought a house within a hundred miles. Personally I love the area and have had no problems since i've been there (3years).
Not sure what tips I can give you.
You're just along the road from La Finca Eduardos which ain't cheap but it's very good food and a great setting with pool etc.
As for finding a cleaner i'm not sure what you'd need one for. Just lock the door and go home. A good hose down when you arrive is all we do.
You'll find with a new Urb that most people are friedly and wanting to make friends. If you're lucky like we were our next door niegbors are there permenant and keep an eye on the place for us.
Good luck and hope you're place is ready on time.
I reckon you'll be OK as that urb has sprung up over the last year. There was nothing there a couple of summers ago.

The cleaner/handy person would be for when family and friends who want to rent the property. Maybe be a person in a position to meet at the airport and take people straght to the property .
