Can anyone recommend a nice 4 star hotel in Madrids city centre? It's just for a couple of nights. 2 Adults.

Hi, got a flight from Alicante to Madrid in June (flight was just 20 euros return with Ryanair) and stayed at the three-star Hotel Miau, a short walk from Sol tube station. It's a 19th century building on the corner of Plaza Santa Ana and cost 85 euros per night for a room for two B&B. Lively area and walking distance from many of the main sights. Tubes, which are frequent, clean and have wifi are just 1 euro a trip in the city or 2 euros from the airport. Speaking to friends who have been more recently, they recommend hiring apartments instead as they are cheaper and plentiful, especially this time of year. Just googled and Madrid Apartments, Barcelona Apartments, Apartments in Spain - ApartmentPlan.es is offering them from 19 euros per person per night. If you don't fancy the drive, you can get the train from San Isidro as well.
