My husband uses the optician by Mercadona in Playa Flamenca. And yes, it is a bit cheaper than the UK.

When we were over in July my husband broke his glasses. We went to the optician by La Zenia roundabout. He mended them on the spot and charged us the princely sum of 1.50 euros, so will be using him in future.
