Apologies if this has been posted before:
    Real Story
The Pain in Spain: Fiona Bruce reports on the British expats who've lost everything as Spanish builders and developers take advantage of their search for a better life.
    BBC1 7.30pm

Well, what a disappointment. I thought it was going to be a programme about how we, the ordinary idiots who have bought off plan have been ripped off.
However, it was traumatic. Those poor people whose properties have been bulldozed in half or have been taken away altogether is awful.
I hope there will be a programme one day which will show it how it really is for a lot of us who have been ripped off by agents and builders.

I agree. The programme was more about how people have lost out through their own stupidity, or been caught out by the LRAU. If only people did their homework before they committed money. It seems that ordinary level-headed people lose all their marbles when they hit the sunny climes, and don't think about permissions or research before they set about achieving their dreams.

Sad stories nonetheless, all of them.

Whilst agreeing that a lot of people do not do enough research, one of those falling foul of that LRAU law was himself a Spanish lawyer, where does that leave the foreigners?

If the makers of these TV programmes knew of the missed completion dates, interest free loans!! etc. I'm sure they'd have a birthday. So how come it never gets a mention?
Perhaps some naming and shaming wouldn't go amiss if only to ward off prospective buyers from using the offending companies.
Are you reading this programme makers?
