Celebrate New Year’s Eve by eating 12 grapes in front of the clock on the bell tower of the Church of Torrevieja
Hundreds of people of different nationalities gather in the Glorieta (Plaza de la Constitución) in Torrevieja to say goodbye to the old year.
The 12 chimes that indicate the arrival of the new year 2023, are celebrated by eating the traditional lucky grapes, which are sometimes replaced by olives, jelly beans and even chocolates.
The minutes before the arrival of the new year, can be enjoyed with a DJ on the stage of the Plaza de la Constitución and party packs will be distributed to all attendees.
Children and adults will eat the grapes to celebrate the entrance of the new year from the Plaza de la Constitución in Torrevieja.
Subsequently, the younger people move to the leisure area where the celebration of the new year lasts until well into the morning.
