In 2025 the Barcelona Ballet will present its interpretation of “Giselle” in Murcia
The play “Giselle” is an adaptation of the 1841 classic by Adolphe Adam and Jean Coralli. This adaptation is directed by Chase Johnsey and will feature music by Adolphe Adam and choreography by Leandro Pérez Sanabria.
The plot takes us to meet Giselle, a young and innocent peasant girl in love with the young Loys, but things are not what they seem. During the harvest festival, some of the secrets that can lead the protagonist to an extreme situation will be revealed.
This ballet unites the beauty of the world with the harsh reality of human emotions, showing that the power of love can transcend even death.
