Feast of the Virgin of Covadonga 2025

From September 5 to 7, 2025, Torrevieja will celebrate the festivities in honor of the Virgin of Covadonga, also known as “La Santina”.

For three days, residents and visitors will be able to enjoy cultural, musical, theatrical and religious activities, in a festive atmosphere that combines Asturian tradition and devotion.

The celebrations will include musical performances, a folkloric festival, theater, processions and the traditional mass in honor of the Santina, as well as a brotherhood meal that will bring together all attendees. The festivity is organized by the Asturian Center of Torrevieja and is celebrated every year on this date, becoming a meeting point for the Asturian community of the city and its supporters.

Friday, September 5 – La Estación Park

• 8:00 p.m. – Feast of Associations

Saturday, September 6 – Local Social Centro Asturiano

• 8:00 p.m . – Proclamation to the Santina, by Mr. Iñaki Isidro Sánchez, local communicator and director of radio “Onda Azul Torrevieja”
• 8:30 p.m. – Musical performance by Goyo Suárez, Asturian singer and winner of the TPA’s Operation XXI Century contest

Sunday, September 7 – Asturian Center and Parish of San Roque

• 10:30 a.m. – Procession from the Asturian Center to the Church of San Roque
• 11:00 a.m. – Mass in honor of the Santina
• 12:30 p.m. – Procession back to the Asturian Center
• 2:30 p.m. – Brotherhood meal at El Huertano Restaurant

Sunday, September 7 – Virgen del Carmen Shopping Center

8:00 p.m. – Folkloric Festival

• Dance Group: Agrupación Artística Gijonesa, directed by Paula Álvarez Cueto
