MEDITERRANEAN PAINTING EXHIBITION THE LANGUAGE OF WATER

Exhibition “Mediterranean, the language of water”

The artist Humberto Valencia presents his exhibition “Mediterranean, the language of water”, an exhibition that brings together a selection of paintings and sculptures inspired by the sea and water as an essential element of the Mediterranean landscape, culture and identity.

The exhibition can be visited from June 19 to August 14, 2026 at the Casa de Cultura de Guardamar del Segura.

The exhibition is made up of a careful selection of works in which the artist explores the relationship between light, movement and the expressive force of water, creating compositions full of sensitivity, colour and symbolism. Her works invite the viewer to connect with the essence of the Mediterranean and with the emotions aroused by the marine environment.

In this exhibition, Humberto Valencia proposes an artistic journey that reflects on water as a universal language and an element of union between people and the territory. Through different techniques and plastic languages, each work becomes an invitation to contemplate the Mediterranean from a poetic, intimate and deeply evocative gaze.
