I Rojales Urban Art Festival 2026: Malecón Live
Postponed due to weather forecast. The I Rojales Urban Art Festival will finally be held from October 23 to 25, 2026. The “Malecón Live” day, with the detailed program below, moves to Saturday, October 24.
Rojales celebrates its first Urban Art Festival from October 23 to 25, 2026.
On Saturday 24, “Malecón en Vivo” will fill the area next to the Ferris wheel with art, workshops, poetry, music and cinema.
The I Rojales Urban Art Festival will be held on October 23, 24 and 25, 2026. The call brings together different forms of creation linked to the street, from painting and graffiti to music, words and participatory activities.
The detailed program of Saturday, October 24 corresponds to the day “Malecón en Vivo” on the Malecón de Rojales, next to the Ferris wheel. The program will run from 11:00 a.m. until the evening and will combine proposals for children, participation spaces and live performances.
Art, workshops and poetry in the morning
From 11:00 a.m., “Arte a la fresca” will open a collective exhibition. At the same time there will be painting with Green School of Art and Dance, a crochet intervention by La Gata de Tela, the open mic space and participatory panel “La Calle habla” and a children’s workshop of cariocas with Jessica Araque.
The morning will continue with urban dance by Green Escuela de Arte y Baile at 11:30, “Cuentacalles” with Inés and Julia at 12:00 and a fanzine workshop by Sonia Vico that requires prior registration. At 12:30 p.m . the children’s mosaic workshop with Reyes will arrive. At 1:00 p.m . there will be a poetry recital and presentation of the books “Natural como la huerta”, by Sergio Hernández, and “Coplillas de zapatero”, by Antonio Peñalver.
Afternoon and evening: urban creation and live music
From 4:00 p.m . an urban market will be set up, with tattoos by Evasion Green and Chustar Tattoo, the workshop “Listening to the city” by Fred Adam and Supercluster NGO and a new session of “The Street Speaks”. At 5:00 p.m . the stencil workshop “Footprints” will be held with Captain Caveman; at 5:30 p.m., a recital by Sergio Hernández; and at 6:00 p.m., the workshop “Urban print on T-shirts”, also with prior registration.
The music will begin at 7:00 p.m . with El Chico Erre & Retayler, DJ Klean and Aixa. The live graffiti of Soem Mac is scheduled at 7:30 p.m., and the artistic projection of Vanessa Culiáñez, at 8:00 p.m. For 9:00 p.m . both the freestyle show of Martín & DJ Mixtrapp and the traveling cinema “Paloma al aire” by Carlos Escolano are announced.
