Ballet “Sleeping Beauty”
The Teatro Principal of Alicante hosts the ballet “The Sleeping Beauty”
On January 23, 2025 at 8:30 p.m., the International Classical Ballet will present “The Sleeping Beauty” at the Teatro Principal in Alicante.
The story features three big parties in a palace: the presentation of Princess Aurora when she is born, her 16th birthday and her wedding. The evil witch Carabos casts a curse saying that Aurora will prick herself and die, but the Lilac Fairy changes it for a long sleep. One hundred years later, Prince Desiré wakes her up with a kiss. At the wedding, in addition to the kings and fairies, characters from famous fairy tales such as Cinderella, Puss in Boots and Little Red Riding Hood appear.
