The Natural History Museum of Torrevieja is a real treasure for lovers of biodiversity.
This museum has a large representation of both marine and terrestrial species, some of which are endangered, and others are endemic to the area.
To allow more people to discover this stunning place, the museum offers free guided tours that last one hour.

These tours are designed for groups of up to 30 people and are available in Spanish and English.
During the guided tour, a biodiversity expert will guide you through the museum and show you some of the most outstanding specimens.
The Natural History Museum of Torrevieja, has specimens of mammals, ornithology, herpetology, ichthyology, marine invertebrates and malacology.

Prominent specimens include bottlenose and striped dolphin skeletons, fin whales and loggerhead turtles.
There are also collections of original bird nests and replica eggs of a total of 17 species of birds native to the area.
In addition, the museum has an impressive collection of marine mollusks from the Mediterranean Sea that have been collected over the years on the coasts of Torrevieja.
There are also donations from individuals of special relevance and other species so singular and unique that they have been claimed by museums in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Paris.
