New Year’s Eve Chimes in Torrevieja 2025

Celebrate New Year’s Eve by eating the 12 grapes in front of the clock in the bell tower of the Church of Torrevieja

Hundreds of people of different nationalities gather at the Glorieta (Plaza de la Constitución) in Torrevieja, to say goodbye to the year.

The 12 chimes that indicate the arrival of the new year 2026 are celebrated accompanied by the traditional lucky grapes, which are sometimes replaced by olives, jelly beans and even chocolates.

The minutes before the start of the new year will be enlivened by a DJ on the stage of the Plaza de la Constitución where cotillions will be distributed for all attendees.

Children and adults alike will eat grapes to celebrate the beginning of the new year from the Plaza de la Constitución in Torrevieja.

Later, the younger people move to the leisure area where the celebration of the new year lasts until the early hours of the morning.
