Temporary exhibition “CHARITAS”

The temporary exhibition “Charitas” will be presented in Orihuela

The Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art of Orihuela hosts the exhibition “Charitas” until March 31, 2025

The exhibition focuses on a recently restored sculpture of San Francisco de Paula, an anonymous work from the seventeenth century. The restoration has made it possible to recover the original garments of the image, including tunics from the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries.

The exhibition delves into the history and iconography of San Francisco de Paula, founder of the Order of the Minims, who had a historical presence in the Vega Baja, especially in Almoradí.

The exhibition is located in Room 0 of the museum, in the former garage of the Episcopal Palace. Admission is free and visiting hours are as follows:

Monday: from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Tuesday to Friday: from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturdays: from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Sundays and holidays: from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
