Hello Barry,
I am in the process of buying a property on Playa Golf 111. I was there in March and my property was almost complete. I see that you went in May. How did you find it and have you been given a completion date yet? I am going out again in July but have not got a completion date. I will be having another good look round the area and will let you know how it is going on.

Which block are you in R3 or R4?

R3 (which we are in) they are still saying end June (looks more like July), pool nearly completed, one or two houses needing rendering etc, but in the main just final tarmac layer to go on, plus paths to be made good and gardens gravelled.

R4 - complete, some people already moved in, pool finished with water in it.

Still havnt had a completion date!!!

Soon as we do, we will be booking to go for 2wks, hopefully to sign furnish etc.

Should be some time in July I guess?

We are on R3 on the last row that is being built. We have got flights booked in Mid July if it is ready we will sign up then, if not we have got another flight booked in September. The pool had been dug out and the concrete laid in late March. Our origanal moving in date was early June. They told us this when we bought in March 2005 so if it is ready by September 2006 it will be ok. If you send me your E-Mail I will send you some photos when we go over in July

We were hoping for a later finish on our place, originally aiming to go out Oct half term to complete, it may be a good idea to put back compltinmg if you can / wish for as long as possible to let the petty crimes be over and done with whilst the property is still the builders responsibility. Once a few months have past until a few people have moved in around our places which may help make our a bit safer.

We were also going to (and now have quotes) for putting in extra security as we will not be using our place a lot at first. For c4k Euro's we rae havinf safes put into each bedroom, additional security grills fitted on the front door, the side and solorium storage cuboards and having the back 'gallery/ utility area' coverd with a security grill as well + change all locks the day we complete. Window locks can also be easilly fitted and only cost about 6 Euros each at local DIY stores.
