i was not complaining about sitting in a certain part of the plane my gripe is that they should try and put families together . how can i be seperated from a 3 yr old or anyone else for that matter a nd more to the point why should i?. as for budget airlines i too travel to spain around 8 times per year and i use alot of budget airlines and never have i ever been seperated from any of my children. yes low budget airlines are cheaper but you still expect a certain standard. thats my opinion and sometimes on this site if sombody does not agree with a posting it can get a little nasty. i am interested in everyones opinions and never would i say i do not care or belittle someones posting after all we are entitled to our own opinions.

I'm pretty sure that is is against the law for your 3 year old to be sat separately from you on a flight and that cabin crew would be obliged to move people in order to allow you to sit with your child.
I do agree that Brian should have booked with an airline that allowed seat allocation. You can choose your own seat online whilst booking with FlyBe for example.

I use easy jet and the national Iberia airline, quiet often. As for getting there on time easy jet comes out tops every time, and the easy jet web site is brilliant for changing bookings round, and name changes etc. Some of the other airlines namely jet2.con cost us 86 pounds the other day for making a name change.
So to sum it up easy jet gets my vote.

I appreciate the importance of pre boarding where required.
A couple of times I have flew with my young daughter and had my pushchair with me until i reached the plane. yes I have been called first with the 'PB's', but then they keep you waiting in a walkway to walk out to the plane (this is at Bristol) and then by the time they walk you out to the plane the rest of the passengers are behind you and overtake you and whilst I am holding my daughter and trying to fold down the pushchair the reast of the passengers are boarding, leaving me one of the last to board.
However, I have no problem with easyjet, i have as a rule found them to be very helpful to me whenever I have flown with my daughter, especially when I have travelled without my husband. Once on a flight, one of mer bottles and leaked all in my travel bag, they took my travel bag for me, completed cleaned it out and then bagged everything in the bag in seperate carrier bags, in case of any other leaks. Above and beyind I think.
Yes I choose to fly easyjet becauses its the cheapest way to go, I get what i pay for, and most times even more!!!

Whilst frustrating and annoying as being separated from other members of your family are, that is not easyjet's fault either.Originalmente publicado por vinnyi was not complaining about sitting in a certain part of the plane my gripe is that they should try and put families together . how can i be seperated from a 3 yr old or anyone else for that matter a nd more to the point why should i?. as for budget airlines i too travel to spain around 8 times per year and i use alot of budget airlines and never have i ever been seperated from any of my children. yes low budget airlines are cheaper but you still expect a certain standard. thats my opinion and sometimes on this site if sombody does not agree with a posting it can get a little nasty. i am interested in everyones opinions and never would i say i do not care or belittle someones posting after all we are entitled to our own opinions.
I had a similar experience although I was not separated. I was on a package holiday flight some years ago and a lady boarded the plane with a young child of 2. The child had to be in a seat on his own for take off and landing only. There was one seat next to me and one several rows back.
The flight attendents went along the plane and asked if anyone would be prepared to be separated to enable this lady to sit with her now distraught on. Not one single person offered to move, I then decided to get up and let her son sit next to her in my seat and I took his seat. Now bearing in mind I had 3 children of my own in the row behind me and my husband next to me I was the only one who offered to move, and would again if the same situation happened.
But if people turn up late then I have to say the fault is not with the airline in any instance, and whilst I do not think families should be separated it is a first come first serve basis.

Brian,
What the heck are you doing on a budget airline plane in the first place?
Did you not see the programme about the saftey errors on Ryan Air?
Maybe "snail mail" is far better suited and far more relaxing than "air mail"?
Chill out and enjoy the ride!
cheers all
James
