Everyone has their own experiences. I usuaally fly into Bristol from either Alicante or Murcia.

I fly with Easyjet and have no problems with the service I receive either when travelling alone or with my 2 year old daughter.

One time when I was flying alone with my daughter, she was about 6 months old and when I went to get her bottle out half way through the flight it had leaked all over my bag. The cabin crew took my bag away emptied it out clean and dried everything off and returned it to me clean and milk free. Lovely service.

I find if you follow theire terms and conditions you dont have a problem. Granted there are certain cases where people have problems, but how many people out of the thousands that fly with them every day do?

My mother in law had a flight cancelled by Ryanair and they couldnt put her on another flight for 5 days. Swore she wouldnt fly with them, but lo and behold they are the cheapest this time so she is going on them again.

At the end of the day we are looking for a cheap journey for average 2 hours. Most of dont care as long as we are safe and get there in one piece, its what we do when we get there that counts

If you are flying with either Easyjet or Ryanair you get priority boarding if travelling with children.

EasyJet used to call for families travelling with children under 5 years of age to be preboarded now it's families with kids under 10 so give em a break. It's also up to YOU to be at the check in area ready to be called through. We see many families not coming forward till EasyJet staff think all have gone through & then families unfortunately end up getting mixed in with the rest of the passengers.

I hope that this isn't the kiss of death but I have used low cost carriers to Alicante and Murcia for the past six years and cannot complain about any of them. All the advice is correct about knowing your rights and avoiding the high cost extras. I do the return journey 4 or 5 times a year from Scotland and have never had a flight that has been badly delayed or flight staff that have been anything other than friendly. The only cloud on the horizon is what Gordon Brown is going to announce re an increase in flight duty!!! Happy flying to one and all.
