I know settling for so called 'second best' disheartens you but you have a nice location. We looked at a good few properties and still went for that area the only downside is that you really need transport to the beach but our budget would not stretch to a beachside location. Have you been on tech urb's website if not try www.tecnourbana.com/eng/promo_macarena.html our house is only just out of picture in the top right hand corner. It's a colinas (battenberg coloured house).I'll pop up and have a look, i'm taking camera so if pictures come out ok i'll email them you. Not sure if it is going to be an hotel we was under the impression that it is going to be like some kind of reception area with jacuzzi and gym etc so you should be able to use the facilities available.Going back out again at easter so if your not there before i'll have another nose around.

Hi alfombra man and tornado. Been reading your threads with great interest I am also buying from tecnourbana but in colinas de la zenia elite as is sunman. Our completion date was april/may but we have both visited in recent weeks and both agree progress is very slow. We cannot seem to get any questions answered from tecno.As your threads were a while ago if I get a response from you I will go into more detail

Mejulie, I fear that seems to be pretty much the consensus all the way along. We get a 4 to 6 week update from Iberian basically telling us how the property is progressing. After the problems we have had over the past 2 years, that is pretty good believe you me.

There are some really nice people on this forum who have very kindly taken pictures and sent them to me of which I am eternally grateful (I wont forget that drink we promised).

I know good news doesnt make the 'headlines' but I think most people have a 'story to tell'. In fact it would be lovely to hear of someone who thinks they had great service?? Anyone out there???

Only advice I can give is dont go away, and pester them like mad (I seem to be good at that!).

Hi Tornado thanks for your reply. Its very heartwarming to talk to some one in the same boat. I hope someone does reply with good news. I recently stayed in a colinas on another developement and kept being plunged into darkness. Turns out the you have to pay 450 euros to builder if you want a decent supply of 8kw have you any knowledge of this. Been trying to find out alternative ways around it . It sounds like you 've been given the run around longer than I have would appreciate any advice, when do you now expect to complete? Can i ask if you intend to buy grills from builder or not . Sorry about interrogation I cant get any answers from anyone. Mejulie

We're not at the stage of grilles etc. I certainly wont be using the builders for air con or grilles. There's a lady called Karen .... and I cant remember her second name but if you do a search on air con, her name is bound to come up. Do a search on grilles too and I am sure you will get a very good response. If you dont, let me know as I know someone who has just completed and I'll get details from them.

The builder wanted 2000 euros for one - yes one - air con unit. I believe the very same unit can be fitted for 500 euros - admittedly the pipework isnt buried in the plaster but I do believe they do a very good job of concealing it.

Same goes for the Solicitor too. We found a much cheaper Solicitor recommended by quite a few people on this forum - again, if you want details, dont hesitate to email me.

I thought you had completed already,can't remember where you are but if you let me know I can have a look as we are going in May .I have just heard that some of the road might be ready for tarmac !! No doubt they will wait until we get there before they start ! Any way,hope every thing is ok .

No, not completed yet. ETA approx July/August tho no doubt will take few months after that.

Thanks for the offer of looking out for our apartment in May - any updates are gratefully received. Some other kind peeps on Bosque De La Lomas are out at the mo and said they will send us updated piccies - its really kind of everyone to do this and I am eternally grateful. So, if you are going out in May, we would be grateful for any pictures. We arent actually in the heart of the Bosque De La Lomas plots, we are on the 'other side' called Las Filipinas (literally over the road), where the shops/Irish bar is on the corner. We are the next road from the Irish bar - plot of 24 (12 apartments/12 villas - we are the apartments).

Spark 240 / Tornado
Just back from Bosque Las Lomas 3 and can report steady and visible progress now being made, well certainly in the Bloques 2, 3, 4, 5 cul de sac area. All the roads have been roller packed down and the first spray preparation for the tarmac to be laid was also done. Lorries have been delivering what appears to be top soil for the pool and garden plot areas. The pool has definately been tiled and the site forman says should be ready for July/Aug. (We will see !!)
Cabling for Telephone and TV were being installed in the ground for individual house connection.
I may be wrong but I felt there seemed a definate move from the builder to complete the site and move on.
In time I believe this area will develope into a far better option than the original Los Balcones debacle.
When out also met some other site users at a party and all seem a good bunch of prospective neighbours.
