You´re quite right Gill, it is amazing and yet when they have UKTV they do nothing but moan about the content: " It´s all rubbish, repeats and soaps and sports whatever happened to Play of the Week etc. etc."
Still us Brits have turned whingeing into an Art Form so I suppose we should expect it!

I do think it is ironic that when the bosses of TM were arrested, all forums were full of irrate people, clients of TM and others, stating how disgusting it was that they were operating illegally and stating they only want a completely legal system - now some of these same people are probably paying somebody 30 euros to try and tune their TM equipment to Torresat, who in turn do not have a license to re-broadcast BBC and ITV! It is amazing what people will do when they are starved of their TV!!

Apparently Torresat engineers have all the relevant licenses to prove they are "legal" according to a poster on another forum. Obviously they do not have licenses to re-broadcast BBC and ITV as statements have already been made to the effect that no company in Spain has negotiated such a license with them. This issue of BBC and ITV still does not seem to have been resolved, it is all well and good to say it will never happen, but I dare say Teneriefe broadcasters said the same thing and Telimicro with 60,000 clients. It would be good to know once and for all, although it doesn't affect me any more, but elderly neighbours have been asking.
Also one of our clients has the Torresat Mesh system and has asked about the upgrade, is it still 30 euros, also what are the additional channels they get 38 with the old system, one being SVT apparently there are 65 with the new upgrade 25 more?
Finally, always wanted to know what do UKGold, UKDrama, Living, History, Discovery and Hallmark come under are they part of BBC and ITV programming, obviously not sky now, it's all so confusing?

Someone mentioned before that you should always ask for a cif number etc. Thats a very good idea.
If a torresat rep tell you that they are negotiating this deal with bbc, itv and whoever. Just ask BBC yourself.
get the list of channel taht they rebroadcast and then just ask the owners of the channels. I asume that they are all available on teh freesat though.
I dont think that they would be so stupid and rebroadcast sky or any other illegal network now after this. if they do, they will be cut of.

Apology accepted and I ,in return, apolgise for jumping to conclusions of the type of person you are, however your post did not really show you in the right light. I find swearing sooooooo offensive and pointless unless one drops a hammer on ones toe and then thats okay. I hope your planned move to Spain goes well and that you manage to get your tongue around the Spanish language which I find quite difficult myself even after all this time Agreed about posting after the vino tinto, I have been known to make a few mistakes myself in that quarter!
