I think we too have been scammed by John and Amanda. Me and 14 friends booked a Villa in Torrevieja back in January time, as a celebration for finishing college/exams, and are scheduled to arrive on the 8th July. We paid the deposit by Paypal (of which there is a phone number: +34 0034966723802 - I will be trying that tommorrow), and paid the final payment about a month ago. Since then we haven't heard anything from them apart from an email saying they were out of office until the 13th June. I have sent them numerous emails with no reply, and the villa has been taken off holiday-rentals.co.uk (apparently for 'updating' according to Costa Blanca Live).

I will be going down to the bank tommorrow to see what can be done about getting the money back. I do still have their bank details needed to send the money to them.

Either way, this has ruined our summer celebrations, especially as the flights/transfers etc. are all paid for and booked, and left quite a lot of us penniless! I can't believe it.

Hi Womble, Sorry to hear of your plight
I would also suggest that you contact Sonia Diadhiou at support-cs@holiday-rentals.co.uk and inform her of what has happened. As you would have previously seen on this thread, I have contacted Holiday rentals and informed them of what John and Amanda Treagust are doing in terma of fraud and scamming. I would also complete a form on fraud action UK, the more people who report J+A the better and hopefully they will soon get thier just deserves.

Thanks Mike2. I tried to fill in an Action Fraud report last night, but I couldn't find the correct category :/ Could anyone point me in the right direction?

It's sickening to think these slimey theives are sitting around with our hard earned money lining their pockets!

We also seem to be victims of John and Amanda frauds ?? We hope not, but have rented a villa for July 2011. We paid everything as well as our brother who is arriving today 2/7 and no one is at the villa? What should we do ??
TO MIKE2 : is the property in LA Siesta (8 persons) yours ? Could you give us soms information please !!! Can we get in touch with you through telephone please ? Are Amanda and John really in renting business ? Do they have villa's or not ??

daagn Sorry to hear that you and brother may also be victims of John and Amanda but if you are left without anywhere to stay contact me as my villa in El Chaparral is free now. It can sleep eight and has a swimming pool. reply to this thread with your contact details and I will get my key holder to meet you t the villa.

daang I have nothing to do with John and Amanda. If they rented my property to you on line then I need to know how as my property is no longer advertised at Coasta Blanca Live or Home and Away rentals. I removed my property from these sites earlier this year after finding out that John and Amanda were theives. They still owe me a lot of money as with all the other people on this site. I ma sorry for your plight but I am afraid that you just join a long queue of disgruntled people.

this can't be possible !! as i see on this forum there are problems since 2009 ??? not possible that everyone has complaints and amount they still have to receive, and nothing can be done ??? do those 2, J & A, still work for costablance live ??? is it also an organisation that is not trustable ?? is there an organisation that handles with those complaints ? hope help is on his way !!!

Costablanca Live is John and Amanda's "company" (or at least one of them). It is unbelievable that they are still getting away with this though, after the amount of complaints etc.!

hello, what about your trip on 8th july, is everything oké or did you get back your money ?? we are also trying to do everything to get everyting sorted out - offcourse we will make complaints of fraud everywhere we can, hope hear something soon from your "story"

Sadly not! We've had to frantically re-accommodate ourselves with a week to go. Due to the amount of money we have lost, we have now had to resort to staying in a hostel instead

Hi Daang, My villa is in Cabo Roig not La Siesta.
I am also trying to locate John and Amanda Treagust, I would suggest you contact Holiday rentals and Action Fraud about this, I have previously supplied details.
If and when I receive information on the Treagust's whereabouts i will distribute to all.
