You should tell your Dad to be very careful about doing illegal taxi runs.The Police are very active in stopping this at the moment apart from the fact that he will not have insurance to do it.

Actually my parents have done it legally and in the process of setting up website aswell. They have been to their spanish legal team(solictors) and applied for all necessary permits to run a business in spain, and paying tax, insurance etc etc.

I think they'll find it's easier and cheaper to set up a legal business than it is to obtain the correct licences to transport passengers for payment.

We stayed in March not in our usual appt and had a breakin Nothing taken we woke in the morning to find the window open and the curtain tied up. No security on the windows.
We were targeted in the market in Torre my husband's haversack was unzipped but nothing taken as he realised what was happening.
On the beach at LaMata I watched a a group of 3 lads targeting women by one trying to distract while the other moved in for bags and purses.
I would stay where you are. The locals all blame the North Africans and the Eastern Europeans I didnt feel threatened on my previous visits.

Taffy, we were at Playa Golf 111 last week and they have now opened up the new Aldi, a superb Deli and chicken shop as well as Alfies etc., that has been there a while...
The new Cam bank is due to be opend in a couple of weeks I was told. They are also working on a new place at the rear of Alfies..
As Steviebrasil says, La Finca Eduardos is a superb spot. The restaurant is great and you have the added advantage of being able to enjoy their pool etc., but expect to pay a few bob more than eating along the strip..
