“Music for Hitler” is a play written by Juan Carlos Rubio and Yolanda García Serrano, directed by Juan Carlos Rubio, under the production of Bernabé Rico.

The plot of the work is set in 1943 in Prades, France, where the famous cellist Pau Casals lives in exile after the Spanish Civil War, committed to democratic values, he decides to help his compatriots who are refugees in labor camps. The story focuses on the moral dilemma he faces when he receives an invitation to play before Adolf Hitler. Although this situation is fiction, the work is inspired by real events that reflect Casals’ ethical firmness in the face of totalitarian regimes.

“Music for Hitler“, in addition to narrating a historical episode, invites us to reflect on the importance of maintaining dignity and ethical principles in the face of oppression. The work highlights how individual decisions can create a significant impact in contexts of injustice.

The main cast includes Carlos Hipólito as Pau Casals, Kiti Mánver as Tití, Marta Velilla as Enriqueta, and Cristóbal Suárez playing the Nazi Lieutenant.
