71st International Habaneras and Polyphony Contest of Torrevieja 2025

From 20 to 26 July 2025, the 71st Torrevieja International Habaneras and Polyphony Competition will be held, one of the most emblematic cultural events on the international choral scene.

The Municipal Theatre hosts the most important cultural event in Torrevieja, in which choristers from Europe, America and Asia will perform, who will compete and perform both habaneras – a genre of Cuban roots deeply rooted in the city – and polyphonic works of great vocal richness.

FIRST EVENING (SUNDAY, JULY 20)

• The Habaneras Contest will be opened by the Torrevieja Musical Union, performing the Anthem of Torrevieja and the Valencian Community.
• It will continue with the opening concert by Sole Giménez.

GRAND CHORAL GALA AND AWARDS CEREMONY

At the closing gala we will have a first performance by the Choirs selected by the jury. Then the decision will be known and the awards ceremony will take place, to end with the traditional common singing of the obligatory work.
