Alhi Prieto López: Sculpting in marble

The sculptor Alhi Prieto López offers a live demonstration of marble sculpture, a proposal that invites the public to discover up close the art of transforming stone into a unique work through patience, skill and artistic sensitivity.

The activity will take place from May 4 to 16, 2026 within the framework of Rodearte, in the Rodeo Caves.

Throughout these days, the artist will work on a block of marble showing each stage of the creative process, from the initial roughing to the final details and finishes. Visitors will be able to observe traditional carving techniques and learn about the effort and precision required by this sculptural discipline.

The demonstration is part of a cultural meeting that brings together art, crafts and nature in a unique environment, where creators and visitors share experiences and artistic processes live.
