Exhibition “Maximum Load”, by Santi Carneri

The photographer and journalist Santi Carneri presents his exhibition “Maximum Load”, an exhibition that brings together the winning photographic project of the IV Photographic Portfolio Contest of Fotomatón Festival.

The exhibition can be visited from September 19 to October 18, 2026 in the auditorium room of the La Lonja Cultural Center in Orihuela.

Through photography, Carneri turns the elevator into the setting for a project that focuses on bodies, shared space and the physical limits of a place designed for transit. The title “Maximum Load” establishes a direct relationship with the characteristics of the space itself and opens up different possibilities of reading around capacity, proximity and coexistence.

The proposal is part of the career of Santi Carneri, a photographer and journalist specialising in documentary photography and committed to social, environmental and human rights issues. His work has been published in international media such as The New York Times, The Guardian, BBC, Associated Press and El País.
