Exhibition “Mischief”

The photographer from Alcoy Miguel Oriola presents his exhibition “Travesura”, an exhibition that brings together a selection of his work and that allows us to approach the personal, experimental and transgressive gaze of one of the most unique authors of contemporary Spanish photography.

The exhibition can be visited from September 18 to October 18, 2026 in the Exhibition Hall of the Museum of the Reconquest of Orihuela.

The exhibition proposes a journey through the particular photographic universe of Miguel Oriola, characterized by experimentation, provocation and a free approach to the image. The human body, identity, sexuality and the relationships between the individual and his environment are part of the interests present in his career, in a work that seeks to move away from conventions and generate new ways of looking at and understanding photography.

Throughout his career, Oriola developed a deeply personal photography, linked to the artistic field as well as to fashion and advertising. His work stood out for its innovative nature and for exploring the limits of photographic language, using the image as a space for experimentation and as a tool to provoke emotions, questions and reflections in the viewer.
