Exhibition “Grave Goods for Eternity”

“Grave Goods for Eternity” is an exhibition that presents four sets of Byzantine jewels found in the necropolis of the Cabezo del Molino site, offering a unique insight into late Roman and Byzantine funerary rites in the region.

The exhibition has been on permanent display since October 6, 2025, at the Municipal Archaeological and Paleontological Museum of Rojales.

The exhibition brings together exceptional pieces such ascóllares and earrings linked to children’s burials, which allow us to appreciate the fashion, the exchange of materials and the funerary practices of the Hispanic Mediterranean of the sixth century.

This exhibition highlights the archaeological relevance of the Cabezo del Molino and how its findings enrich our knowledge about funerary life and customs in ancient times.
